Let the screaming begin.
And start lining up for tickets like, now. Tween-rock superstars the Jonas Brothers are booked to play the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 29. Phew — it’s not a school night! That would be totally tragic.
The Jonas Brothers played a recent concert in Michigan in front of a sellout crowd of what can only be described as “tweens.”
Any utterance that came forth from the brothers was met with frenzied screaming: “Hi, I’m Joe Jonas.” Waaahhhhhhh!
“We are just putting out our new album.” (Joe, again) Shreeeeiiiik.
“You know this song, so sing along.” (Nick) Screeeeeaaam.
Though Joe and Kevin could have stood there singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and held the crowd rapt, they did have a repertoire that was greeted with teen girl madness. Songs, such as “Year 3000″ and “That’s Just the Way We Roll,” sent the crowd into total bliss, while newer songs — from the band’s forthcoming album — were catchy and edged with funk.
In one “Stomp”-like percussion segment, Kevin Jonas “played” a fire extinguisher while Joe wailed on a garbage can lid.
The show was visually exciting. Besides the Jonas Brothers spinning wildly, sliding down
ramps onstage and even performing no-arme
d cartwheels, the light show behind the acrobatics popped. On huge screens, green lava lamp-like goo melted, bright yellow and orange fuzzy “fire” burned, and neon hula hoops twirled.

A sure-fire highlight was when Nick sat down at a white baby grand piano and crooned “When You Look Me in the Eye,” eliciting thousands of sighs.
Tickets are $45, $65 and $89.25 and go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m. at the MGM Grand box office.
Parents, hide your wallets.
